Tuscany is an outstanding area for vineyards hence I travel there twice a year to buy a few cases of red wines.

Chile is also an amazing place and well worth considering.

Seriously though, I can’t recommend Burgundy highly enough. I’m just back from Beaune. Beautiful countryside, cute little villages, incredible wines and long, long lunches with some of the finest food in the world.

Great list, and I’m particularly glad that you mentioned Malbecs, an emerging favorite of mine. I’m partial to my adopted home region’s wines, though. Oregon Pinot Noirs have earned 90+ ratings in Wine Spectator consistently over the past few decades, and well-deserved. Tours of this scenic region are easy to come by. Thanks for telling us about your favourite blogs. There’s so much out there a few tips like yours are invaluable. The Marrakesh site was especially useful as I planning a trip to North Africa in the near future.
